Walking on the moon

NEIL ARMSTRONG

It was July 21, 1969. It was the day when the first man walked on the moon. The man’s name was Neil Armstrong. He was born in 1930.
When he was a young boy, he was very interested in planes. He learned to fly when he was fourteen. He got his pilot’s license when he was sixteen – before he learned to drive a car!
He studied engineering at university. After he finished university in 1955, he became a test pilot. In 1962 he became an astronaut. Seven years later he walked on the moon. The words he said on the moon are famous “One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.”
