Inventors and their inventions

Unit 1
In this unit we’re going to learn about some inventors and their inventions.
At the end, you will be able to talk about talk about inventors and their inventions.
Some inventions:
Johanes Gutenberg invented the printing press in Germany in 1440.
Alexander Fleming discovered the penicillin in his laboratory in London-England.
Zuckerberg  created   Facebook to help people communicate. 


Practice this conversation:

A: Do you remember the last English class?
B: Oh, yes! I do. It was about inventors and inventions.
A: Do you remember any inventor?
B: Of course. Johanes Gutenberg.
A: Who was he?
B: He invented the printing press.
A: Oh, yeah! I just remembered it! ... And when did he make his invention?
B: In 1440
A: I see. You remember every thing the teacher told us.
B: Almost. What about you? Do you remember where Johanes Gutenberg discovered the printing press?
A: I'm not sure. But I think it was in Germany.
B: You're right.  Now let's try with another inventor....
